Comments:
Buddied up with some bloke that said he was after experience for a dive-master course. Took him out to the east point. Went out along 8m contour to make it a bit more scenic. Saw a pipefish, occy, large bubbleshell, STC's, BMG's, Bennetts etc. Got out to first ledge and found a blindshark and a couple of lobsters under the first overhang. Was heading to second ledge when Steve signalled that he'd lost one of the integral weights from his BCD, and that he was going back. I went back to the first ledge and found the weight. Must have been about 10 pounds, had to fully inflate BCD and go up to 6m to maintain buoyancy.
Lots of nudi's, sea-pens and stingarees. Still had 90 bar left. Current was strong on the way out - entered 20 min before published high tide.
Talking to Steve after the dive he said he really enjoyed it, it was the most he had seen in a week of diving here. I thought it fairly average.
Fly Point dive #60, shore dive #111.
